Classic Chick

Hello reader! I visited the Hobby Lobby store in town, armed with my 40% discount coupon. I already knew what particular item I was going to use it with - the Fiskars Premium Cut-Line Trimmer.

Yeah, I know... this is my Nth paper trimmer. I don't even know how many trimmers I have bought during the past 5 years. However you have to listen to this one. This trimmer has had rave reviews. But I have to see it to believe it. And when I saw the larger workspace (6.25 on the left of the blade and 1.5 on the right), the visible wire cut-line indicator and the self-levelling swing-arm ruler that goes up to 15 inches, I knew it was time to let go of my old Fiskars trimmer. I also like the fact that this trimmer doesn't have cutting bars like my old one. That means the only thing I have to replace is the blade. As far as cutting tools are concerned (scissors and paper cutters), I have always been loyal to Fiskars. I have tried other paper cutters and I always go back to Fiskars. And did I mention I paid less than $18 for my new cutter? Yey for me!
And while I was in Hobby Lobby, I chanced upon the Cuttlebug Persia A2 embossing and die combo on clearance. I've always liked this set but everytime I see it in the store, I always put it down. I'm glad I waited because I only paid $6.83 instead of $18.99.
So here's my latest card, using my latest purchases:

The embossed center is actually the packaging of my Cuttlebug Persia, which I cut to size. And the scalloped border is a Verve stamp set packaging. I was feeling green tonight.
