A Little Late

Finally I got to play in my planet!

But before that, let me just share with you a little story.

My Mommy is here visiting, and she has been doing a lot of cleaning for us (thank you much, Mommy!).  She likes to hang in my planet - using the computer and what not.  A couple of days ago, she was grazing through my craft desk, pointed at my Big Shot and asked how it worked.  So I showed her the basics.  I embossed some cardstock with my A2 folders... and she said "wow!" upon seeing the outcome.  I even let her emboss herself.  She thought it was pretty cool.  After that, I showed her how to cut with Spellbinders dies, and layered the cut pieces.  She was amazed.  End of story.  I just had to share because I found her reactions quite amusing.

Anyway, I have been way behind on my card making and have even skipped giving cards to some important people during their special days.  I still feel bad, because I have mentioned countless times since I started blogging about making cards for all family, relatives and friends throughout the year as a New Year's resolution.  And every year, I fail.  And I did again this year.

So DH's niece and goddaugther, who is dear to us, had her birthday last week.  And of course, I wasn't able to make a card for her.  But I made sure I made one to extend her celebration in some way.

The image was colored with Copics, and the embossed background was sprayed with Tattered Angels and Smooch Spritz.

Materials used:
cardstock/dp:  Martha Stewart, leftovers
image/sentiment:  Sweet Pea, Stampin' Up
ink:  Tsukineko, Copic, Tattered Angels, ClearSnap, Spica
tools:  Spellbinders, Cuttlebug, Stampin' Up
embellishments:  glitter (Martha Stewart), pearls
adhesive:  Scotch, Glue Dots, mounting tape
misc.:  embossing powder (Ranger)

'Til next blog!

I´m very sure, she didn´t mind to wait a bit for this beauty here, as it was definitely worth waiting for. Itá really beautiful Joan, you did a really awesome job.
About the being late with cards, we all know about, so don´t worry, you´re certainly NOT the only one ha ha ha, and ofcause people will understand, now that you have your mum visiting, you ofcause also wants to spend time with her too.
So just relax and enjoy your mums stay, and I´m sure everyone will understand. HAve a great time hun.
