Hi There!

I have mentioned time and again that I have a hard time letting go of my leftover stash - from die cuts, negative cuts, to RAKed images.  And no, I won't be singing "Let It Go" from the Disney movie "Frozen".  But believe me, I'm trying really hard.  I have been trying to condition my mind of which ones to actually let go.  And while I was in the process of doing that, I picked ones that would work together to form "sentiment layers" like the ones below:

I plan my design and layout around them, which is perfect for making quick cards.
Here's one I made with that concept.

Materials used:
cardstock/dp:  DCWV, leftovers
image/sentiment:  RAKed
tools:  Martha Stewart punches, Spellbinders, corner rounder
embellishment:  rhinestones
adhesive:  Scotch

The design stemmed from the sentiment layer "Hi There", picking DPs that will work with.

I find this system really good especially when I need a starting point.  Once the card is done, who would think they are just leftover materials from previous projects, right?

'Til next blog!
