National Craft Month Project No. 1

I'm guilty!  I usually start my National Craft Month celebration right on the first day.  But just like you, real life gets in the way.  But hey, I made sure to create something last weekend.  Only I haven't had the chance to post at all.  Sometimes, when your work requires you to be in front of the computer most of the day, you just want to be a couch potato when you get home.  I have been VERY guilty of that too.

And since it's our month, fellow crafters, I'm thinking of doing something fun here on Tinker Planet.  I used to give blog candies and be more engaging this month of the year.  Let me see what I can brew for you guys.  My only issue is time.  No promises, but we will see.

So, I wanted to create something last weekend, but I was lazy to do any stamping or coloring.  Looking through my stash of RAKed images, I found these images by Tim Holtz.  I'm pretty sure I got these from a Tim Holtz card swap I hosted at SplitcoastStampers quite a good number of years ago.

With these, I was able to make two A2 card sets with five cards each set.  And just like my typical card set, I used one layout with varying colors.  Here's the first set:

The Cuttlebug embossing folder went with the background image very well, and I love it!

For these three cards, I played with varying spray inks on the background layer.

I'll show the second set next post.  And this March, I hope you get to celebrate our month by stirring those creative juices and work on those projects.

'Til next blog!
