Baby Shower Part 1

How has your weekend been so far?  I'm really enjoying this one because I don't have band practice tomorrow.  That means more time to chill, play in my craft room and do house chores.  Just today, I attended a good friend's baby shower, of which I made some decorations for.

For today, I want to show you the baby girl banner I made.  My friend used it at the baby shower, and she can also take it home to hang in the nursery.

The baby shower theme was pink and green with frogs.  I'm glad to find these adorable frog images in my RAK bin, which I colored with Copics (G09, YG09, YG11 and R83).  I also topped the heart with Liquid Pearls in Petal Pink.

I embossed each letter, making sure that if the background is plaid, the letter is embossed with round shapes and vice versa.

Materials used:
cardstock/dp:  CostCo, ColorBok, leftovers
image/sentiment:  RAK/unknown
ink:  Copic, Ranger
tools:  Cricut, Janome Sew Mini, embossing folders (Cuttlebug, QuicKutz, Sizzix)
embellishments:  ribbon, rhinestones
adhesive:  Scotch, mounting tape

With projects such as this I get to appreciate my craft tools, especially my Cricut Expressions and Gypsy.

'Til next blog!
