What a 5th invitation?  Can't help it.  I can't believe I missed playing in my planet this much.  Although my craft space is not 100% done, the crafty juices are overflowing.

For this design, I made another tri-fold card but this time the folds are horizontal.  I guess I was excited to use my new Unity stamps that I had to make one more.  It won't hurt, right?

When the invitation is opened, you will see the pocket's opening is on the right hand side.  A different approach from the usual opening at the top.

I like this pocket die from Spellbinders as well.  I was able to buy several designs from their website's clearance section for future projects.

Wedding Invitation Sample 4

Typically I only make 3 designs when make wedding invitation samples.  But it's been a long time since I did any paper crafting that I was on the roll to make more.  Before I go on, check out the first three designs I've made:

This is just a bi-fold card with a decorative edge on the front.  Did I say I love edge punches?  I have a bunch of them, and I'm glad I do.  And this stamp by Unity is perfect for the card.

The edge punched bottom fold is used as thin pocket for the inserts.  I use this technique quite often.

I have a feeling this won't be the last.  My hands are still itching.

Wedding Invitation Sample 3

I stepped outside my comfort zone and tried an unconventional approach to this design.  I was inspired by a wedding invitation we received from the UK.  And being a paper crafter that I am, I had to figure out how they made that invite.  So I can make this:

One of my favorite tools are the deep edge punches by Martha Stewart and EK Success.  They are easy to use, and I'm glad I have a variety of them.

On the left side will be the main announcement.  Then on the right will be the inserts for other details and RSVP. 

This die by Spellbinders is perfect for this invitation.  I got it on clearance at their website.

Wedding Invitation Sample 2

Last week I showed you the first invitation design I made for my friend (click here to see).  For this design, had decorative edges on the flaps, which gives it a more elegant look.  This set of embossing folders by Anna Griffin is one of my favorites.  I think I got it from HSN during one of their craft events.

For this design, I used cardstock for the slider, instead of ribbon.  Good things long dies exist for something like this.

I used the same pocket for this card.  It works well with the decorative edges of the flaps.

Wedding Invitation Sample 1

So my friend's getting married this summer.  As my gift to her, I will make her wedding invitations.  The fine print though says I will use whatever supplies I have on hand, which she agreed with.  And since her wedding theme is pastel florals, it shouldn't be a problem.  For projects like this, I typically make a few designs, then I let the celebrant pick from the selection.

For this project, I decided it will be a square tri-fold invitation, with a white base and pastel accents.

This is the first design I made.

I love Spellbinders dies for my wedding invitation projects.  They are just elegant looking.
