WCMD Day 5

I have a love-hate relationship with my Cricut machine.  I like the fact that I can cut any shape I want for any project I have, especially the ones in bigger quantities.  During those times, I'm glad and thankful that I have the CE.  But I have such a small craft room that I don't have space for my CE to just be laying there and available anytime I need it.  And that's the reason why I don't use my CE as often as I should.  And that's the part I hate.

Anyway, this card has a cut piece from Cricut.  The edge punch and Spellbinders die I used went really well with the purple base.  And guess what?  My card has a bow too!  Woot!

Materials used:

ink:  Tsukineko
tools:  Cricut, Spellbinders, EK Success, Unity Bow Maker

Blessed are the Joy Makers

Hello crafty reader!  This is going to be a quick post.

My goal last night was to make a quick CAS card with the color scheme pink, white and silver. And I ended up with this:

Materials used:
cardstock/dp - DCWV, Georgia Pacific, vellum, leftovers
image/sentiment - Cloud 9 Designs
ink - Tsukineko
tools:  Spellbinders, EK Success, Big Shot, heat gun
misc.:  Tsukineko embossing powder
adhesive:  Scotch, mounting tape

The layering is the tricky part in making this card.  But I sure am happy with the result.

Happy Belated Birthday

I made this card for somebody really special.  She's not just my sister, but a friend as well.  I have to admit that it took time to accept the fact that she's no longer the baby sister of mine.  And even though I still worry about her, I'm really proud that she grew to be a wonderful and independent woman.  We may be different, but we definitely jive.

Materials used:
cardstock/dp:  Embassy, Creative Imaginations, Fiskars
image/sentiment:  Cloud 9 Designs, Verve, Unity
ink:  Tsukineko, Stampin' Up
tools:  Martha Stewart edge punch, Spellbinders, Big Shot, heat gun
embellishments:  rhinestones, ribbon
misc.:  Ranger embossing powder
adhesive:  Scotch, Zots, mounting tape

Enjoy your weekend, dear reader.  'Til next blog!

At Last!!!

At Last!!! FREEDOM!!!  Woot!!!

Yesterday was my last day from work and today my official summer vacation started.  There are so many things I want to do.  And my goal this summer is to accomplish all of them.

First, I'd like to thank all the participants in my International Image Swap.  I enjoyed seeing all your images and swapping them with each other.  We had swappers from Germany, Sweden, Korea, Philippines and USA.  What fun!  I hope you enjoy the images you receive, and please let me know when you get them.

Yesterday, I was able to make a belated birthday card for my brother-in-law.  Again, it was a challenge to make a masculine card.  I just wanted a simple one, and I hope he likes it.

The dp is by My Mind's Eye Bohemian Line.  The image is from Cloud Nine Designs.  I also use Nestabilities Labels 4 and Martha Stewart edge punch.

Also, I received goodies these past 2 weeks.  Thank you everyone!  I will not specifically mention who you are, but you know who you are ;)  You can see them here.
Let me go do some cleaning in my planet to jump start the summer vacation.  And yeah, I really need to do a lot of cleaning in the entire house!  Hehe...
