Review: Creative Memories 12-Inch Decorative Trimmer

I've had this tool for about a little over a year now. And yes, like a lot of scrapbookers like me, I never really got around to using it. I finally did today. You can cut perfect waves and swells with this trimmer. In other words, you can make 2 kinds of cuts with this one! And the grid is really great (even has diagonals!) to guide you in cutting.

Crop-A-Dile 2

I was just browsing through the message boards on Splitcoast Stampers, and I chanced upon this post.  There's another new tool out in the market fellow scrappers!  It's the Crop-A-Dile2.  It is being launched in HSN.  I just saw the demo a few minutes ago, and I think this would be a good investment.  It has the same features as the original Crop-A-Dile, plus, the amazing 6" punching reach allows you to punch and set the accents at the center of your 12" x 12" scrapbooking page.  And you can also set and snap grommets of all sizes.  Plus, you can set it on your desk as a stand-alone tool.  I like that extended punching reach most of all.  Now, why didn't they think of that with the first Crop-A-Dile???  If you're thinking of buying the original Crop-A-Dile, I suggest you buy the Crop-A-Dile2 instead.

While watching the demo, I asked myself:  Why is HSN having a scrapbook show, and a product launch, at like 12 midnight?  And what amazes me more is that, with Crop-A-Dile2, they sold almost 8,000 units.  At the wee hours of the morning! 

So, the score is, I decided to buy this product for it's new features.  HSN has another hour of scrapbooking products. But I'll turn off the TV and go to bed, to avoid any more temptations.  Well, it's always nice to have something to look forward to in the mail :)

And so, I thought I have opened all the boxes from my craft corner in Japan.  And just this morning, I discovered more boxes!!!!  Grrrr.... I'm such in a dilemma, I don't know where I will put the rest of my craft stuff.  Why in the world did they all fit in that small corner back in our apartment in Japan?  And now I can't figure out where I'll store them all in my one room planet.  It's like, I'm supposed to be happy and excited to see all of them.  And now, everytime I see a box still yet to open, I say "What is this now?!?!?"  So, I decided to have a RAK (random acts of kindness) box, so I can give some of my craft stuff away.  Hell I'm not gonna throw stuff away.  I still believe that one's garbage could be another's treasure.  I know somebody will appreciate them and put them in good use.

It's just so freaking overwhelming!!!  Arg!!!!

Breathe, Joan.  Don't let chaos cloud your creative brain.  Close your eyes and concentrate.  You can do this.

Ha!  Just wait till I'm all done.

Craft Room Update

Our furniture and the rest of our stuff finally arrived!!!  And that includes all my craft supplies from my craft corner back in Japan. 

And now, my planet's in chaos!  There are so many boxes to open and lots of craft supplies to  organize!  I honestly don't know where to start.  I was opening some boxes yesterday, and it felt like I was a kid opening more presents after Christmas.  It was so nice to see my Xyron sticker machine, my laminator, my other Cricut cartridges, my acrylic blocks for stamping, the rest of my cardstock, my punches, my heat gun, glue gun, Big Shot, craft mats, OTT Lamp, and most especially the albums that I have filled with scrapbook pages!  It's so nice to see each page again!  I wonder what else I will find in many other unopened boxes!  However, I did discover quite a number of junk.  Back in Japan, they were precious to me.  I was keeping everything, thinking they would have a good use in the future.  Plus, in Japan, everything is expensive.  But now, it seems my "perspective" has changed.  I was looking at them and I asked myself, "Why did I keep this for?"  They are junk.  I have to have a separate box to put my so called junk in, then maybe throw them away or RAK them to somebody.  I'm thinking now that I have my own craft room, I should have lots of room to put all my stuff in.  But it seems now there still isn't enough space.  Ah... I'll find space.  I'm just too overwhelmed right now.  Considering I have so many projects in mind and that I need to start with them right away!

Can somebody help me?!?!?  LOL
