Young Once

I got a lot of these images when I hosted an image swap a long time ago.  I made sure to use them all up for my "You've Been Crafted" Project so there is a good bunch of them in this post.  I was able to look up this stamp and it's an Inkadinkado classic.

Simply Marvelous

Hello crafty reader!  This week's set of cards feature a classic Inkadinkado stamp, which I got from a sentiment swap.  I've had these images for a while and never knew the brand until now when I quickly made a Google search.  A part of me is thinking of getting rid of my rubber stamps because they take a lot of space.  But if you are a stamper, these rubber stamps are like classic cars to an auto afficionado.  I still have a lot of them, and I intend to keep them for quite a while.

WCMD Day 7

The best word to describe my card for today is CIRCLES.  I used the Martha Stewart Circle
Edge Punch and the Inkadinkado Circle Stamping Gear.

And to make it more fun, I'm entering this card in Our Daily Bread Design's World Card Making Day Celebration.  All you need to do is make a card using any of their stamps and dies, and you're in.  All participants will get a 20% off coupon from the ODBD Store, which is valid the entire World Card Making Month.  Fun, right?

WCMD Day 4

Last year, I made a card for Unity's World Card Making Day challenge (click here to see).  For some reason, I made another base to use in the future, only this one had a hole in the front.  So I decided to make a card with this base for today.  Looking through my leftover materials stash, I was able to make this card:

Materials used:
cardstock/dp:  leftovers
image/sentiment:  Inkadinkado
ink:  Tsukineko
tools:  Spellbinders
embellishments:  spiral paper clip, pearl accents, rhinestones
misc.:  Inkadinkado embossing powder
adhesive:  Scotch, Glue Dots, mounting tape

Left Over P3

TGIF!  Mine didn't start so well though.  I had a minor accident spilling a very hot drink on my lap while driving to work this morning.  To make the long story short, I had to stay home.  So no excuse for me not to post anything today.

Here's my third card for this series.  I used the following elements:

This is actually my favorite of the three.  I love how the Martha Stewart Punch-Around-The-Page goes so well with the main die cut.

Materials used:
cardstock/dp: Recollections, K & Co., leftovers
image/sentiment:  Inkadinkado
ink:  Tsukineko
tools:  Cricut Expressions, Spellbinders, Martha Stewart
embellishments:  Sticko, silver pearls
etc.:  Tsukineko embossing powder
adhesive:  Scotch, Glue Dots, mounting tape

Have a great weekend, crafty friends!  'Til next blog....

It's A Party

I can't believe it has been ten days since my last post.

Well, I actually do believe it.  The past couple of weeks have been really busy with work.  But the last big event took place this Friday, and I tell you... I was sooo excited to play in my planet.

I was very ready to do my pending craft projects, but I started with cataloging my new stamps that I have bought from weeks or months ago (click here to see how I catalog and store my unmounted and clear stamps).  There are still a good number left, but it sure feels great to finally store a bunch of them the "right" away.  I will do my best to buy any new stamps (even though there's a lot I really want right now), until all my stamps are catalogued and stored.

Then last night, I started making invitations for my cousin's 50th birthday and 20th anniversary party.  While making these cards, I realized that this year is the most I ever made - from baptism, to wedding and now to birthday/anniversary invitations.  I would consider it an accomplishment, craft wise.

Anyway, as my cousin and I were talking about the color scheme of the party, it was decided that gold will be used for the 50th, and emerald green, china and platinum for the 20th.

This is what I came up with:

Materials used:
cardstock/dp - Georgia Pacific, Recollections
image/sentiment - Inkadinkado
ink - Stampin' Up, Tsukineko
tools - Quickutz embossing folder, Fiskars corner punch, Stampin' Up punches, Spellbinders, EK Success edge punch
adhesive - Scotch, mounting tape

To achieve this look, I punched a strip of white cardstock with the EK Success edge punch, then stamped the sentiment above it.  After that, I punched with the Stampin' Up Label Punch, then inked the edges with Tsukineko Brilliance Ink in Platinum Planet.

The design is easy and simple that I was able to make 42 in a few hours.

Now it's the season for graduation parties.  Another good reason to play some more in my planet.  'Til next blog!

Christmas Treat Bags

I always like to give treat bags to my co-workers during special occasions.  And Christmas is one of them.  I just started my second year at my new job, and I am blessed to be working with good people.  During times like this I get to show my appreciation.

To start with, I got this from our last trip to Sams Club.  I'm snacking on some leftovers right now, and they sure are yummy!

First, I cut Christmas/winter-themed designer paper with Stampin' Up's Labels Collection Framelits Die.  I scored then folded right in the middle.  After that, I started stamping and heat embossing images from Inkadinkado's Boxed Wishes.  Then I cut along the edges.

Assembly is pretty easy.  I put the patties in a B7 size packaging.  Then I attached each designer paper piece on top with a stapler.  And for the last step, I adhered my stamped images with double sided foam tape.  You can see below how each treat bag is assembled.

Now they are all set and ready for dissemination tomorrow.

Materials used:
cardstock/dp:  DCWV, Martha Stewart, leftovers
image/sentiment:  Inkadinkado
ink:  Tsukineko
tools:  Stampin' Up, stapler, heat gun
misc.:  embossing powder (Tsukineko, Inkadinkado)
adhesive:  double sided foam tape

Geared Up

I was excited when I got my Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Deluxe Kit in the mail this weekend.  I pre-ordered it from their website earlier this month, and I have to say that it was worth the wait.  I'm impressed with the packaging... really nice.

This kit contains the Circle Wheel and Cog, Oval Wheel and Cog, Clear Paddle and four stamp sets.

Maybe I was excited, but it sure was a pain to get the goodies out of the packaging.  During the process, I was thinking if the awesome packaging was worth the hassle.

I didn't want to wait no longer, so last night I made sure to give it a try and make something out of it.  Stamping with just the Circle Wheel and Cog, I was able to make this:

Kudos to EK Success for coming up with such a cool tool!  The possibilies are endless... really!

So I used that as my background for this card:

Materials used:
cardstock/dp:  Wassau, DCWV, leftovers
image:  Inkadinkado
ink:  Stampin' Up
tools:  Inkadinkado, Spellbinders, Stampin' Up
embellishments:  rhinestones
adhesive:  Scotch, Glue Dots, mounting tape

It's also my first time to use a "Cut-Fold-Tuck" die from Spellbinders.  I have some templates like this from years ago, but you had to cut with a knife.  I love that with these dies, you can just run it through your die cut machine and then instantly fold and tuck away.

For the corners, I used a die from the Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags/Accents set.

I sure had lots of fun making this card.  I'll definitely be playing with these tools some more.

Free Stamps From Inkadinkado

Free Stamps from Inkadinkado They arrived today!  Woot!!!

I was actually wondering where the padded envelope was from.  And when I opened it, there were three wonderful stamps.  What's so amazing is that I received an email from Inkadinkado saying that they have received my cards and that my free stamps are in the mail.  And just a few days after that, I got my free stamps.  Thank you Inkadinkado for such wonderful gifts!  I can't wait to see my cards in your Project Gallery.

Boo To You!

Hello crafty reader!  For the past few days, I have been preparing for a couple of craft shows I'll be in next month.  At the moment, I'm making a batch of Halloween cards.  Last night, while DH was using my computer, I was able to make this card:

The stamp is by Inkadinkado, which I bought last year.  I just love how my eyeball turned out after coloring with Copic markers.  DH thought it was pretty cool.

Materials used:
cardstock/dp:  Wassau, DCWV, @theoffice, leftovers
image/sentiment:  Inkadinkado, A La Maison (alpha stamps)
ink:  Tsukineko, Copic
tools:  Martha Stewart corner punch, Spellbinders
embellishments:  rhinestones
misc.:  embossing powder (Ranger)
adhesive:  Scotch, Zots, mounting tape

Don't forget, I'll be raffling out these goodies on September 30 as kick-off for World Card Making Day on October 1st:
